A Set of Six George I Walnut Dining Chairs 18th Century and Later comprising two armchairs and four side chairs. Height of armchairs 41 1/4 inches x width 25 1/2 x depth 20 inches; height of side chairs 41 1/4 x width 22 x depth 19 inches. This lot is located in Chicago. Condition Report Sturdy and can be sat upon. With scattered, patched repairs to the veneer and areas of fill. Two of the chairs with replaced decorative surfaces on their splats. areas with sunfading or discoloration. One chair with its proper front right leg repaired with a visible fracture. The chairs are largely 18th century but possibly rebuilt for stability with newer seat rails, later seat blocks, and possibly newer legs incorporated with older carved decorative elements. Seat height 19 inches.
