A Japanese hanging scroll painting,
kakejiku
,
ink and colour on silk, depicting a female Japanese macaque,
Nihonzaru
, clasping her young among branches of an old pine tree and plucking wasps from a nest hanging above her, signed
Toratoshi
and sealed Kawasaki and another illegible seal, together with a
box.
