TWO JAPANESE IMARI BOWLS Edo period, 18th / 19th century The first bowl with a flared, faceted body painted to each side with panels of blossoms within diaper borders, the second, circular bowl with a garden view from beneath sudare blinds, both in typical Imari palette of underglaze blue, overglaze red and details picked out in gilt. 23cm x 11cm; 15cm x 7cm (2) Provenance: the Claudio Perino Collection, Turin, acquired mostly in Japan in early 2000s. This lot has been imported from outside the UK for sale and placed under the Temporary Admission (TA) regime. Import VAT is payable at 5% on the hammer price.
