A CHINESE WHITE-GLAZED ‘LOTUS’ BOWL AND A BROWN-GLAZED BOWL Possibly Song and Ming dynasties The white bowl with a rounded body incised to the interior with veins to resemble a lotus leaf, the exterior with rows of almond-shaped lotus petals, all under a cream glaze, the second conical bowl coated with a thick dark brown glaze stopping short of the unglazed foot. 25cm x 12cm; 9cm x 4cm (2) Provenance: the Claudio Perino Collection, Turin, the 'lotus' bowl purchased from a Kyoto-based art dealer, the brown-glazed bowl acquired from Ajassa Arte Antica Chinese, Turin by repute in 2010s. This lot has been imported from outside the UK for sale and placed under the Temporary Admission (TA) regime. Import VAT is payable at 5% on the hammer price.
