清 白玉雕龍耳三足蓋爐
The globular body is flanked by a pair of dragon head handle suspending a loose ring, all raised on three reticulated floral legs, the domed cover carved in shallow relief with band of foliage scrolls, all surmounted with a ferocious dragon with wings, the translucent stone of even pale greenish-white tone. This piece comes with an insurance appraisal by Kenneth Brown from 1973 and an old photograph showing it displayed on a shelf. Early 20th century.

Provenance: The Taylor Family Collection of Chinese Art, San Francisco. Acquired in the 1960s and 1970s from antique markets in California and Hong Kong, including Gump's in San Francisco and the antique shops at the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong
