Authentic Nkisi power figure of the Congo Yombe, DRC 19th/20th c., with fine reliefs on the face and beautiful lips, hands in front of the belly, dark sacrificial patina on the head with remains of the magical charge which once crowned the figure, remains of the fixing nails of the former magical charges on back and chest, rectangular opening in the belly for another charge, eyes framed with porcelain, wood, metal, porcelain, wax, h. 18,8cm, strong abrasion at the ear holes, registered: AHDRC (ao-0157609), provenance: acquired 1952 in situ, Lore Kegel, Boris Kegel-Konietzko, Alexander Dorn Authentische Nkisi-Powerfigur der Kongo-Yombe, DRC 19./20.
