Monumental KPM Neo-Rococo potpourri cover vase so-called ‘Schilfvase No. 5’ with soft-painted flowers and two oval cartouches in pastose gold painting framing “Berlin City Palace” and “Equestrian statue of the Great Elector in front of the City Palace”, on a stepped round foot, with sculptural foliage and winding band, pear-shaped vase body with short neck and moulded rim, domed, open-worked hooded cover with large, finely sculpted rose bouquet, the sides with ascending reed tufts handles, slightly dam., 1 acanthus leaf remaining, sceptre mark c. 1900, red imperial orb mark, painter's mark: 51, Hermann Ismar?, h. 85cm, Cf.
