CHŌ GESSHŌ (1772 — 1832) Cranes Edo period, 18th/19th century A Japanese hanging scroll painting, kakejiku , ink on paper, a study of two birds beneath an overhanging rock with sprays of bamboo, signs Gesshō, sealed Yukisada/Genkei. Image 120.3cm x 28.8cm; total 203.5cm x 41cm Provenance: the Claudio Perino Collection, Turin, acquired mostly in Japan in early 2000s.
