A JAPANESE MOULDED KAKIEMON 'PHOENIX' BOWL Edo period, 18th century With a conical body divided into six lobes, moulded with irregular cloud patterns and painted in colourful enamels with a phoenix in flight, paulownia tree and a single flowerhead to the centre, the reverse with sprays of maple, momiji . 14cm x 5cm Provenance: the Claudio Perino Collection, Turin, acquired mostly in Japan in early 2000s.
