A CHINESE QINGBAI WINE POT AND COVER
Song Dynasty, 10th-13th century
The ovoid, hexagonal-section body divided by raised bands carved to each facet with stylised floral scrolls and blossoms, applied with a short spout and a looped handle, the hexagonal neck with a cover surmounted by a lion dog finial, all decorated with a pale blue glaze.

Provenance: the Claudio Perino Collection, Turin, acquired mostly in Japan in early 2000s.
